About Audree
Audree grew up in Texas with two loving parents and an obnoxious little sister. From a young age, she had every intention of becoming one of Radio City Music Hall’s Rockettes. Unfortunately, though she excelled in tap dancing and had nice high kicks, she was also vertically challenged (the Rockettes have a strict height requirement).
Resigning herself to teaching dance to equally vertically challenged indivduals (three year-olds), Audree had a long and joyful career as a dance instructor. After marriage to her childhood sweetheart and the birth of her two sons, she decided to try her hand at writing so she’d have her weekends free to spend with her family.
Writing saw her children through their growing years and allowed her to be a stay at home mom. Changing diapers, fetching kool-aid, and listening to Blue’s Clues and Dora the Explorer (at least it wasn’t Barney the Dinosaur) on TV made writing a challenge, but a worthy one. Audree’s first novel, a romance, was published in May of 2005 and she’s been writing ever since.
Nowadays that obnoxious little sister is one of her best friends, and her parents are not only loving, but they’re pretty cool. Her husband is still the love of her life nearly thirty years later, and those sons—whom inspired her writing career—are now the obnoxious family members (just kidding; they’re pretty fantastic as well). Oh yeah, and writing… Audree is still doing that too.
